Spyware Protection Software January 8, 2009
Posted in : Security Parlor , comments closedSpyware protection software is the easiest way of removing spyware from your computer and keeping it away. It detects and removes all pieces of spyware and adware automatically. Spyware is extremely difficult to remove manually and should only be removed with spyware protection software.
Spyware protection software is designed to not only get rid of spyware viruses but will shield you and your computer from destructive hackers, data thieves, malicious e-mail attachments, and other emerging Internet threats. It keeps these dangerous viruses from getting into your computer in the first place.
You might be asking if there are free spyware cleaners available why would you want to purchase spyware protection software. The free spyware cleaners are good programs to get rid of spyware viruses you already have on your computer now. But how much of your personal information, passwords and even credit card numbers did these programs send out before they were removed?
Also, many spyware programs automatically reinstall themselves even after they are removed. So you have a false sense of security because the hacker designed the spyware program to start right back up again. Free spyware cleaners should be a warning to you and not a permanent solution to solve spyware and adware problems.
Spyware protection software is designed to find all of these hidden programs and disable them before they have a chance to work. It is the best way of removing spyware and adware from your computer and keeping it away. Whether you take our recommendations or someone else’s it’s important that you get spyware protection software installed immediately.
Spyware dangers have become so common, they have now moved ahead of viruses as the number one danger facing computer users today. It’s worth a little time and a little cost now to invest into quality spyware protection software. Your personal information and computer are at risk until you do.

The Best to Shop for Fridges Online January 7, 2009
Posted in : The Shoppers Way , comments closedIf you are surveying the marketplace for a fantastic deal on fridges and freezers shopping on the internet may be an incredible method to save precious time & money. Don’t choose to blow your cherished time looking all around legions of high-street businesses in search of the best bargains – simply sit down at your personal computer and log on and a whole wide planet of fridges is there waiting for you online.
However with countless on-line shops how do you find out which shop shall conserve your cash on fridges while even so guaranteeing you purchase a high quality fridge. As best practice if you acquire your new appliance from an outlet on the high-street then you certainly should not in reality have any significant qualms about buying your goods from their website, and as you should all realise that you can commonly acquire lower prices on the web. Always shop with a retailer you trust when looking for fridges on the internet.
Thoroughly scanning a good buyers guide is always a cracking place to begin when browsing for fridges – shoppers guides are generally full with a wealth of info and furthermore effectively highlight points you possibly could not have thought about on your own. These include; energy usage, other features and total capacity amongst further things.
Do not constantly go with the cheapest offer – extremely ofttimes the first cost you behold on a web site could not include value added tax or home delivery fees and when you finally reach the card payment stage you will often be charged a great deal more than you first thought.
When do you need it by? Not all on line stores guarantee fast delivery and if your current fridge has recently stopped working you possibly might well not want to wait four weeks for your brand new fridge So forever find out what your estimated home delivery date shall be.
Be sure to find out the returns policy – fridges are a difficult item to purchase; sometimes they appear great in the showroom or on a website but when you get it to your house you find it does not complement your home at all. Therefore, you should always be prudent.
How to save Money on Your Car Policy
Posted in : Road Rage , comments closedIf you want to save some dough on your auto coverage , there are three things that you can alter to help you lower your rates.
Let’s have a look at each one, and see where you can make some cuts.
Your Lifestyle
I realize that you don’t want to turn the way you live upside down just to save a few bucks on car insurance. I wouldn’t either. But there are things that you can do that might save you big.
There’s good reason for this. For every speeding ticket you get within one year, your chances of being at fault in a motor vehicle rise exponentially. So hit the brakes!
The less you drive the less you pay, too. If you can carpool or use public transit to and from work, your premium will go down. Lower your mileage and you’ll cut down your rates.
One factor that will definitely influence your rates is the presence of teen-aged drivers in your home. But young drivers who get good grades, or who drive an older car, may earn you an auto insurance discount.
Your Car
The type of automobile you drive will have a big effect on your insurance costs. High profile cars (this means both sporty coupes and popular vehicles preferred by thieves, like Honda Accords ) will earn higher rates than lower profile minivans and station wagons.
Of course, new and expensive cars mean higher collision and comprehensive rates. Driving an older model can lower your auto insurance rates by quite a bit.
Don’t feel like changing your car? A simpler way to earn a discount auto insurance rate is to install safety devices on your car.
Car alarms and locator devices can also lower the cost of comprehensive coverage. Many insurance providers will offer you a discount if you provide proof of having some type of anti-theft device installed.
Your Provider
Shopping around several auto insurance providers might be the best way to save on your coverage. Premiums for the same coverage can vary widely from one provider to another, and gathering a few quotes before making your decision can mean real savings.

Get a Website!, Register Your Domain!: To Website or Not to Website? January 5, 2009
Posted in : Hall Of Websters , comments closedIf you’re fairly new to the Internet scene, you may just be a bit overhelmed with family members, friends, collegues, and advertisements urging you to get your own website for your business. Typically, this is good advice for businesses. However, for most small local businesses, running your own website may not be the best idea. Here’s why:
Websites Take Time to Build. Whether you’re buying your own WYSIWYG software to design the site yourself or you’re hiring a skilled web designer, it will take time to decide on a good domain name, plan the site, create it, and then get it running online.
Websites Cost Money. There are a few basic costs:
- Domain name registration fee
- Web design fee
- Monthly web hosting fee
- Applicable setup fees
Plus, because a website needs to be “findable” in order to be beneficial for your business, you will have to, at minimum, invest in additional services such as:
- Search engine optimization fee
- Web maintenance fees
- Online and offline advertising for your website
Websites Take Time to Maintain and Alter. Your website will need at least some occasional modifications to keep it current. Most busy business owners simply don’t have this kind of time.
Your Business is Local. Unless you are planning to actually sell and ship products worldwide via your website, you probably don’t need to have your own website for your local business. Most local businesses simply need local exposure and an online presence.
The Bottom Line
If you already have an existing website, we sincerely hope you will have great success with it. However, if you have a local business, and you are looking for a way to build local exposure and have your business’s details easily found online by your target customers in your area, local online directories that focus on retail shops, restaurants, and services may be the key.

Web Page Building for Beginners 4
Posted in : Hall Of Websters , comments closedPage ranking by search engines such as Google are not only overrated but unusually explained by “experts” in the SEO field. SEO stands for search engine optimization and is needed to get your website placed at the top of a web search. I have no truck with someone wanting to get their pages placed in the number one or two spot from a search, but page ranking has nothing to do with that whatsoever and I can assure the reader that I can prove this to anyone with a computer. In fact, if you will just do a search for “writing critic” you will find www.homewriters.com near the top and since I own that site, I can explain to everyone how it got there and why. But at one time, I had four out of the top five spots on Google for this very same search. And by the way, my pages had no rank at all when they were first placed in the top positions by Google and Yahoo!
Let me explain that first of all, nobody ever does a search for the keywords writing critic, and getting a top position isn’t all that hard because the ranking Google uses just doesn’t count the keywords as anything very important. Next let me explain that if you do a search using the one keyword “online” that the competition is out of this world with over a half a billion pages coming up on Google or Yahoo. Then let me tell you that to be listed at the top of that search you will have a ranking of ten, the top ranking Google has to offer. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the ranking numbesr you have are classification numbers based on competition in the field for the keyword and it is the way Google, and I’m sure other engines and directories, weed out the pages that need not be brought up at the time of the search. My point is, that it is useless to try and get a ten ranking on a website that sells uses toilet paper, because first of all there is no competition, and secondly Google wouldn’t waste their time ranking your site that high just to mess up their indexing methods.
So forget ranking unless you know what the rank of the competition has and use that as an ultimate goal for your perfectionist ideas, but do not count on it meaning everything I hear it is supposed to. Most of the thinking on this subject is ludicrous, and can be proven by doing some simple searches. I find that many searches bring the number one site in with a seven ranking while the next site down is ranked five, then a four, then a zero and the next a six, five, seven, etc. Google is famous for mixing in small players with big boys and African sites with Chinese to give the researcher the best shot at satisfaction. And I like that, as apposed to Yahoo’s last five hundred URL’s being owned by one company. I have written complaints of spamming to Yahoo, but have never seen anything done about it, while Google does a fair job of weeding out the bums that try to ruin it for the rest of us.

Bryan Ellis – Virtual Real Estate Investing vs. Physical Real Estate Investing
Posted in : Marketing + More, Money Making, The World Of Real Estate , comments closed“Virtual Real Estate Investing” is a relatively new concept. There are many variations on what this term means, encompassing everything from using the internet to aid in real estate investing efforts to participating in online games such as SecondLife.
In order to figure out the truth of the matter, I sought out Bryan Ellis, whose experience in the fledgling industry is truly impressive.
When I began using the term virtual real estate investing in the late 1990s, I did so because I saw clear parallels between the strategies used for profiting from physical real estate and those that would create income in the online world, said Ellis.
One example of the parallels between virtual and physical real estate Bryan Ellis cites is the similarity between the monetization of domain names versus physical property. “There’s a huge difference between a website and a piece of real estate, but the ways you can profit from them are similar: ‘flipping’, rental/leasing, advertising sales, etc…all of these apply to both markets” he states.
The similarities really are obvious. Consider: A valuable piece of real estate is valuable largely due to the interest that other people have in that specific location. Similarly, ownership of a desirable domain name is valuable for the same reasons. Regardless of the type of asset, you can sell or lease or use any number of strategies to turn the assets into cash.
In our next installment of this series on virtual real estate investing, Bryan Ellis will share the internet analogies to the physical concept of real estate development.
Leave a Better Voice Mail Message January 4, 2009
Posted in : Sellers Market , comments closedYesterday I received a call from a financial planner named Richard doing a cold call. My policy is to always return those calls which help me to understand why I would personally benefit from doing business with a sales person. This one didn’t, so it ended up getting deleted.
This is what he said.
“Hello, Scott. My name is Richard ______ and I’m with ABC Financial in Phoenix, Arizona. We do 401K’s for employers. My number is 480-555-1212. Please call me back.”
That was it. Nothing compelling. No benefit for me in there somewhere. Nothing to incite me to return the call.
The next time you are making a cold call and leaving a message for a prospect, consider these four steps in the call.
First, state your name and your phone number first. The prospect usually has a pen in his or her hand when checking voice mail, so if you start with your phone number at least you’ll get on the list of people whose calls might get returned.
Second, tell him what is unique about your firm. This sales person could have said something like “Our business takes the headache out of financial management for companies by being the sole outsource provider of employee investment programs. In other words, we do all the work, and make you look like a hero with your employees.” Within your unique selling proposition, or elevator speech, there must be a personal benefit for the end user. For example, when I leave a message for a sales manager for my sales training, I say “I improve sales performance of organizations by showing sales reps how to become more disciplined, more focused, and how to sell from the heart.” The focus of my USP is on them, not me. I start with their benefit, and then tell them how I do it. The personal benefit of your features is more important than your features, and nobody cares what you do, only how that benefits them.
Third, drop a name or two. Use Robert Cialdini’s principle of social proof in getting your calls returned. In his book Influence: Science and Practice, Dr. Cialdini explains the six reasons why people are influenced and puts them in the form of malleable principles. (For a free special report outlining those six principles, email me at scott@scottlove.com and I’ll send you the executive summary). “We work with organizations such as Pineapple Computers…” If you work with a competitor of your prospect, state that name in your voice mail. Remember that trust is a byproduct of rapport, and rapport is a byproduct of common areas of interest. By establishing a common bond with someone you have never even talked with before, you are leveraging the principles of social proof and rapport to increase the likelihood of a call back.
Fourth, give them a time to call back, such as between three and five o’clock. This makes you sound busy, and if you are busy you are important.
Bonus tip: Tell them that if you don’t hear from them by Wednesday (assuming it’s a Monday), then tell them that you will put another call in to them on that day. This keeps you from appearing desperate and increases the likelihood of a call back because that person knows that you are serious about talking with them.
And if you every run across a guy named Richard in Phoenix who does financial planning, please forward this article to him.

Psychic Medium January 3, 2009
Posted in : New Age Philosophy , comments closedPsychics are people who have mastered the art of using mental powers like ESP (extra sensory perception) to look into the lives and future of other people and predict future events. The word “Psychic” has Greek roots, derived from the word psychiokos or psyche, which means soul or “that which is mental”. The word is generally used to describe fortunetellers.
Many people have psychic abilities, or the abilities to look beyond the things that are seen or heard or sensed by normal human beings. People believe that this is possible by connecting with a higher power like spirits or souls of dead people. A psychic medium is one who tunes to this higher source for information and uses his or her intellect and intuition to analyze a particular situation or a problem. Psychic mediums act as an intermediary between a person in the real world and the soul of a person who has died.
Psychic mediums can connect with spirit guides, guardian angels, dead relatives of the client, and other supernatural beings. A good psychic medium should be able to interpret the sayings of all these beings and perform perfect analysis. Psychic mediums master the art of clairaudience, which is the ability to hear or perceive sounds, which are not normally audible. They are able to first sense the presence of a non-physical entity through spiritual communication, then convey this energy into the physical realm. This process is called mediumship.
There are thousands of psychic mediums in the world, some more active than others. Several are willing to offer their services for a fees ranges from $1 per minute to $10-$15 per minute. Psychic mediums can be contacted by mail, phone or through e-mail. There are also several websites that offer free psychic consultation online. However, these free services are limited. Psychic mediums are slowly finding acceptance by many people and there is a demand for popular psychics, despite the skepticism of some critics.
Psychics provides detailed information about psychics, psychic readings, psychic medium, psychic healing and more. Psychics is the sister site of Phone Psychics.
Web Site Design Mistakes – Database Parameters In URLs January 2, 2009
Posted in : Hall Of Websters , comments closedCreating a web site takes thought, planning and execution. Unfortunately, many designs are dead in the water before they are even published as far as search engine optimization is concerned. Whatever you do, avoid these critical mistakes.
Database Parameters in URL
Many web site designers don’t take into account the effect of database parameters in site URLs. A database parameter tells the server what should be loaded onto a particular page when a viewer tries to see it. In essence, the page is “dynamic” because it is being pulled together with each click. Robot programs that are used by search engines to index sites hate dynamic pages. Often, they will not even index the pages and the page of your site is not listed in the search engine.
Let’s look at an example using the Nomad Adventure Journals site. The home page URL is aptly, http://www.nomadjournals.com – a static page. In this URL, there are no parameters telling the server to load anything other than a static web page. All search engines will index this page without any problem.
Now, what if we changed the page to something dynamic. Let’s say we designed it to record the session identification [identify the viewer] and dynamically load the pictures on the page. We would have one parameter for the session identification and four parameters for the various pictures on the page. The URL for the home page might look something like:
http://www.nomadjournals.com/home/index.html?&DID=9&User_ID&CATID=15&ObjectGroup_ID=39
What a mess. A search engine robot is going to balk at indexing such pages. It simply can’t tell what is on the page. If you have parameters and session identifications in the URLs of your site pages, you are going to have a very difficult time getting into the search engine rankings. Obviously, that precludes you from getting any top rankings and free traffic.
Fixing The Problem
Fixing the problem often is lengthy and costly depending on the number of pages on your site. If you have over 100 products, a complete re-design may be the best answer. If you have a relatively small number of pages, there may be less brutish options.
Converting pages to static html is a definite solution for smaller sites. Essentially, one would take the page for each product and convert it into a static html page. The domain would then be converted to short sub-domain. If a user then clicked on the “buy” button for the product on the page, they would be sent to a dynamic database page. The viability of this solution is dependent upon the layout of the site. Some sites can be fixed, some simply cannot.
In Closing
The database parameter problem is surprisingly common with sites selling products. A majority of site designers do not understand search engine optimization and don’t realize the problem they are creating. If you intend to build a database driven site, make sure you bring in a search engine optimization specialist before it is created. Nobody wants to spend the money to design a site twice.
