A Pragmatic and Effective Way to Deal with Baldness July 14, 2009
Posted in : Makeup Stuff , trackbackHair loss is common among men aged from as young as 16 years old upwards. Even though it’s “everyday”, it’s no less agonising for the person. Male pattern baldness (Androgenic alopecia) is normally the first sign of ageing, and can occur as early as just 16 or 17 years old, giving rise to social anxiety and even depression. While the public at large see being bald as perfectly normal, it’s no laughing matter when it’s you suffering from going bald.
Androgenic alopecia (or male pattern baldness) affects men in different ways. Some guys do not suffer any kind of baldness til their late 50s or 60s. Others suffer the very common male pattern : a gradual receding at the temples. Other balding patterns include the crown area first of all, or a rapid thinning out of all hair.
If every man went bald at the same time in the same pattern, it might be argued that we wouldn’t see it as so painful. Nevertheless, it’s the diverseness of balding patterns and speed in how they happen (from man to man) which causes many men to feel very depressed and simply unfortunate if they experience particularly rapid forms of baldness.
Look online and you might think there’s a myriad of simple cures to losing your hair. Just apply X spray or eat Y pills per day, and you will get a full head of hair. For sure, there are creams and lotions that give the appearance of thicker hair, and medications that can slow down the balding process somewhat, but there’s no official cure to baldness – no miraculous supplement that people can use to utterly assure hair growth, or the prevention of baldness.
But there is a solution. There are wigs, or hair systems men can put on to hide their balding pate. These toupees can be made matching their hair colour and type of baldness. Scrutinising such a hairpiece being worn, it’s frequently difficult to understand that there is indeed a wig fitted. If wearing a hair system makes you feel confident when you would have otherwise been anxious, then it’s better to get one.
