Different Varieties of Pushchairs October 3, 2009
Posted in : Helping People, Kiddie Stuff, Product Stuff , comments closedPushchairs are an excellent mode of carrying your baby when going out on those numerous errands that you must complete. They allow for the baby to remain safe and comfortable while allowing you to pursue your work without feeling the strain of actually carrying a baby along.
Whether you go to the local store or just run a simple online search like “pushchair pushchairs“, it is possible to get confused and even intimidated by the sheer variety that is available in the market. Following are some of the basic varieties that you should know about when you are shopping for pushchairs.
Strollers are commonly used pushchairs that are compact, easy to fold and store, and are very convenient while travelling. Being lightweight, they are excellent companions for parents who are constantly on the move. Forward facing is another type of pushchair where the baby faces away from you in his or her seat. This is slightly heavier than the stroller, but is quite comfortable and safe for your baby.
Two in ones and three in ones are those pushchairs where it is possible to get two or three attachments for the cost of a single one. Two in ones typically have a stroller and a carrycot, where the baby can lie down as well as sit, whenever it feels like. Three in ones have an additional car seat attachment that makes it a complete travel system.
Lastly, double pushchairs are available for accommodating two children and these are either twin or tandem pushchairs, depending on how one seat is placed relative to the other.
While Buying Either a Pushchair or Pram What to Look for June 16, 2009
Posted in : Kiddie Stuff , comments closedIn these times, parents are very demanding when it comes to comfort their children. For their children they want the best, the latest and the safest products on the market. When parents are looking for the perfect prams and pushchairs for their child, this fact is of great importance.
Yes they are different. Prams are for newborns and push chairs are for toddlers.
Cash strapped first time parents can save themselves a bit of money by buying a pram that also converts into a pushchair in order to accommodate their growing child.
You can go in for hybrid types. It serves as a pram as well as a push chair. Your expenditure is limited to one purchase.
First time parents often do not know what to look for when they see advertisements for prams and pushchairs. Strollers come in many different brands, styles, modes, and with different functions, yet each claims to be the best.
When buying a pushchair it is very important that the seat is comfortable and supportive. Especially babies need adequate support to their heads and bones to develop normally, and this is crucial in a good seat.
The material of the pushchair’s seat should offer adequate shock damping properties, and the seat as a whole should be engineered to provide proper support to the spine, neck, and head. A child in a pushchair depends on adequate padding to insure against sudden bumps or jolts if the ground is uneven.
It is the prime necessity for all parents to depend on trusted online that purchasing pushchairs for their children is the best.

When we finally decided to get Marley’s ears pierced we got a lot of flack from a bunch of people. Some disapproved of it and some wished that they would have gutted their babies ears peered earlier. Then we were told that you need to wait until at least 3 months old. So we did, and when her three month birthday came along, mama gave her a gift that would make her look like a little girl. Now, she really looks cute. We have been getting a lot of mixed reactions from people about getting her ears pierced so young. We did some research beforehand, and
talked to friends who have gotten their girls ears pierced early as well. All of out friends that had it done said it turned out was fine and were happy they did it. We felt it would be better to get the done sooner than later, because then she would always be use to them. The ear piercing didn’t bother her at all. She did grate, and seemed to like the new look of her ears, because after she looked in the mirror and smiled big! Here are some things to remember if you plan on getting your little one’s ears pierced.
Always keep the ear area clean during the first six weeks of healing.
Use Q-tips or gauze to clean around the ears. Be sure to use a fresh one for each ear.
Apply ear antiseptic or solution to clean the site of the ear piercing
Understand that once pierced, your daughter should wear the earrings continuously, except for cleanings, for the next four to six months.
Be sure to rotate the earrings once or twice a day during the first six weeks.
Make sure that all caregivers know about the earrings and how to keep the area clean.
