Managing Monthly Budgeting September 14, 2009

It can be very stressful at times with managing my household budget, but not managing it can put me in to financial debt before I realise it. The gains from taking care of my budget correctly not only save me money but help to relieve some stress I have concerning my debt.

There are many things in life that shape me financially, but nothing affects my finances more than my family budget. There are not many people nowadays who have learned how to budget and this can cause many financial issues, including debt. One reason why so many people do not create a budget is because many of us think it is too complicated. Actually, creating a budget does not have to be hard at all; it is as easy as recording down what we spend and updating it every month. By doing this, we do not spend more than we have.

It is important for me to keep in mind that my budget is just my plan for my monthly expenditure. Just like any program, my budget does call for me to supervise it to keep it running correctly. The first step in producing my budget is preparing the information that I need in it. I keep track of expenses like car payments, utilities, car insurance, living expenses, etc. If I do not coordinate my budget, I can easy find myself in debt. It is very important for me to know how much I need on expenditures each month.

I see two benefits with keeping an eye on with my finances through my budget. First of all, I am able to save money on superfluous expenditure. Secondly, I can keep myself from going into unnecessary debt. When I spend my money wisely, I buy only things that are required and I free up money that I can use on something that I want or can save it. With the extra money I am able to save, I have the option of putting it aside and investing.

How I Handled My Monthly Budget August 19, 2009

I have constantly been off on my monthly budget with frequent monthly bill and unexpected expenses. My paycheck was already spent as soon as I got it. I got a stack of bills every month and put them off to the last minute, then dealt with them all in a hurry. As a result I ended up taking over money from the next pay just to make it through. It’s not that I didn’t make enough money, it’s that I didn’t know how to manage my budget. In the case of any emergency, left me even deeper in debt.

I am positive most of us have been in this position. We try to be careful with our money, but long before month-end, the money is gone. Paying Off bills is a juggling act that we don’t have the time or energy to handle. There’s always one bill that was disregarded or delayed, one more expenditure we weren’t prepared for. With school supplies and fees for the kids, groceries, new tires for the car, and the rising cost of petrol, just making it from paycheck to paycheck is difficult enough; saving money is out of the question. Meanwhile, debt is quietly jamming up. I asked myself how I can get my budget under control?

I was lucky to have found a service which will help me budget my money more wisely and take away the stress of paying off monthly bills, letting me concentrate on the things that really matter to my family. No more worrying over where the money will come from; I can finally relax, knowing that my finances are in good hands.

The financial planning process:
During your initial consultation, your budget consultant will evaluate all of your existing debts and monthly payments and devise a program that works for you. They will set aside money for savings, emergencies, and long-term investment, ensuring your family’s financial security. If you are planning a major purchase, this will be forecasted into your budget so that when you are ready to buy, the money will be there for you.

Your paychecks are typically deposited with your financial planner, and a seperate living expenses account is setup for you. Bills and repayments are diverted to your budgeting specialist for payment. There is a chance that your consultant can lower your monthly payments and reduce your outstanding debt by negotiating with creditors. A small monthly fee is assessed for all these services.

For me, the greatest monthly service my budget specialist provides is peace of mind. I don’t have to stress about paying any bills; I know my bills will be paid on time, and that I’ll have money in reserve for life’s little emergencies. My budget is finally under control, thanks to my financial planning service.

Writing the Perfect Resume July 10, 2009

A CV presents a applicant to the prospective employer. It creates the first impression on the potential employer on the job applicant’s accomplishments, qualification, credentials and work experience. Thus, a professionally well-written and well-organised CV can assist in securing an interview with the potential employer.

While developing a resume, the direction must be on the requirements of the company and your ability to fit in the job at offer. The resume should be written by blending the candidate’s skill sets and experience with the demands of the company. It is writing about how someone can fit the demands of the specific role in the corporation.

There are many delusions around resume writing that requires clearing up. Trying to stand out among the crowd by making the curriculum vitae spectacular will not serve the purpose. The resume should not be something unusual, unique or tricky. However, if the facts are coordinated in a professional fashion, outlining items relevant to the role’s requirements, it will definitely impress the recruitment agency to call the job applicant for a first interview.

The all-important target of a curriculum vitae is to introduce the applicant and present the skill sets, qualification, experience and credentials of the individual so that the HR manager is impressed enough to call him/her for a face-to-face interview. The resume should only incorporate information, which is relevant to company’s needs. This may include the experience of the applicant, which is beneficial for the role. Avoid composing a long history of your past job experiences.

A good, well-structured curriculum vitae is the key to opening the correct doors to the perfect chance in the job seeking process.

I eschew drama, because life can be lonesome without a date. I finally bottomed out, yesterday I broke my resolution and smoked two packs of cigarettes. During my birthday party of loneliness, obviously. Don’t judge me (j/k!). Am I crazy? Actually, that’s the moment when I seriously thought about singles events in my new hometown.

No problem. Figured I’d boost my dating life with Great Expectations Denver Dating Service. Probably turned out to be my golden ticket. Prolly wouldn’t be an issue, but it is. I was at my 40th birthday at Oak Park two weeks ago, Richard wanted to know if I’ve bumped into that special someone. I don’t know why they even care. Anyway, I looked up at them and yelled, “I’m eating here, and no.”

There’s nowhere to hide when Gramps continued harping along the lines of marriage. I quipped to each of them: “Dating isn’t for me, but I’ll never find a gorgeous single woman hanging out with you.”

Guess what? They smiled politely. Perturbed, I called Dave so I could clear my head. What a waste of time! I didn’t learn a thing. Nina, who is now a Budist monk or something offered his opinion that I meet singles at Great Expectations. I said, “You know, that’s a good idea.” What a relief. I will never regret joining this Great Expectations Dallas dating service.

When I started, dating events were kinda foreign from my perspective. This was all really foreign to me, and I was speechless at first. This slight disaster could not bring an end to the evening. The evening was a limo pub crawl from heaven. The greatest most memorable part of it all was the other members, some who are my new friends.

It wasn’t long before I was regularly mingling at these glorious Great Expectations Dallas singles events, I got in touch with some great people who clearly have similar ideas which made for a magnificent singles event. Don’t know why I ever let so many people give their two cents about being single. Awesomely enough, mingling in Dallas with Great Expectations is a good time and like a dream come true.

Time to Downsize: a Look at Electric Bikes June 9, 2009

Posted in : Bikes, Online Self Improvement Resources , comments closed

Are you lacking exercise? It’s a common feeling – we realize this, and still many things get in our way of doing exercise. We watch individuals crowded into gymnasiums working out, and consider : well, I must go to the gym, pay for my membership costs, then lift some weights. It seems like a lot of hassle, isn’t there something I can do that’s not going to throw away my time – something that’s even practical?

Then you may consider purchasing a push bike, as bicycling around is a fantastic means to improve your health. You can bike to the local shops or to work, so it’s very practical. It’s also money-saving – there’s no petrol called for and the running costs are next to nothing. It’s also environmentally friendly. And not forgetting the minor point of actually getting fit too.

Yet lots of individuals are put off getting a bicycle since it’s just TOO much exercise. As odd as that sounds, it could be because they may live in a very hilly location, be elderly or suffer from particular ailments that make pedaling too “hardcore” for their capabilities. Also for some individuals, it’s not pragmatic cycling to their work since they will sweat too much because of the efforts of bicycling.

So this is where electric bikes come in. They let your legs have a break on the severe slopes simply by twisting your hand on the grip and letting the electric motor kick in – pedalling is no longer required then. Then when you’re ready to switch to manual, just start pedalling. You get reasonable exercise and fresh air without doing yourself in. Electric bikes are also money-saving to operate needing only a daily re-charge if you cycle around 30-40k a day, although most people require just two recharges a week since they are not doing this kind of distance. If you need to carry your bike around, consider a lightweight e-bike.

These days the actual cost of purchasing an e-bike have come right down in price, so you can find yourself saving a lot of money on bus fares, fuel, gym memberships etc. by purchasing and regularly using an electric bike.

Compatibility Made to Be Great May 21, 2009

Nobody can say I’m pleasantly happy being bored with most men (who isn’t?) and not be lying. But, I’m not unhappy about it, either. I only suggest it here as an intriguing piece of info introducing what I am about to explain in grand style.

A week ago today yours truly was walking the dog, Stacey, thinking of joining the Phoenix Great Expectations dating service. You prolly couldn’t guess that, I stand to you as a happy member of the dating service. Totally, it’s true. I like it! If you know me at all, perhaps you’re thinkin’, “Stop blabbering and tell me about it already.”

Here’s how it went down, I saw this Great Expectations Dating site and felt encouraged. They’re for the honest singles who think dating isn’t a game.

‘Cause I’d never been too big on what a lot of singles have named “dating.” I faced it all the time. Every night friends nagg, “Are you seeing somebody?” and “You should date!”

“Ugh, and double ugh.” I reply, without missing a beat. “Not after that last blind date you set me up on.”

“Don’t be silly,” they deadpan. “You have no way to know that!”

That’s just my partner in crime The One-And-Only (hehe) Sandy McCarthy. She beams rational thought to my brain 99% of the time. Loved ones are always there to offer perspective. She made a good point, so I signed up.

Back to the theme of this post. As I browsed from hundreds of combinations of outfits for my first Great Expectations date, something occurred to me that was quite deep. For the longest time, I hadn’t held any emotional great expectations for dating in the serendipitous journey of being alive. Being single isn’t so bad, even more so when you get out there and have fun. Having great expectations makes a difference on a cynics social life.

How to Motivate Yourself June 10, 2008

Posted in : Online Self Improvement Resources , comments closed

As anyone who has ever tried to keep a New Year’s resolution will tell you, motivating yourself to get something done is not always very easy. When the time comes to put the resolution into effect, we forget, or we decide that we have more important things to do, or we are in the wrong mood.

The principal reason for this is that, if we fail to create in ourselves an emotional response to the idea of achieving what we decide to work for, we are setting ourselves up to fail.

One famous life coach often helps people to give up smoking, but because he has a high reputation, he likes to stack the odds in his own favour. In other words he filters out potential clients who lack the necessary motivation, since he knows that they are unlikely to succeed.

How does he do this? Simple. He asks each potential client to give him three reasons or benefits for giving up smoking. If they cannot give him three reasons, he tells them to go away and not to return until they have thought of three.

Now I don’t believe that there is any magic in the figure three, but statistically, the more reasons you can think of to justify your decision, the more likely you are to have your emotions aroused by the thought of success.

Suppose you think of several good reasons for your New Year’s resolution. Does this guarantee that you will have the right level of motivation? Not in the least. After all, the clients of the life coach mentioned above are being coached by him and he will work on raising their motivation. He is merely concerned to ensure that he has the raw material (the three reasons) to work on.

But if we can guess the sort of method he might use on his clients to raise their motivation, could we not use the same method to motivate ourselves? Absolutely.

So let’s look at the most likely method.

Visualisation

The most useful way to motivate ourselves is to visualise success. Think of any goal that you would like to achieve, the bigger and the more attractive the better. Perhaps it involves retiring to an idyllic island, taking a vacation in an exotic location, climbing a mountain, or buying a super-car. Perhaps it is already in reach. Perhaps it isn’t.

Now, choose a place and a moment when you can relax and not be interrupted. You need only a few minutes. Begin by reflecting on the reasons or advantages that achieving your goal will bring you. Then close your eyes and imagine that you have achieved that goal.

How does it feel? What do you see? What does it sound like? If people are speaking, what are they saying? Does your goal have a particular taste? Immerse yourself in this imagined reality for a minute or two, concentrating also on the advantages or reasons that you have already identified. Tell yourself how blessed you are to have achieved your goal.

After a few minutes, open your eyes and note how good you feel. Ask yourself if you now feel motivated to pursue that goal, however hard it may be to achieve it. I shall be surprised if you don’t.

The trouble is that motivation doesn’t last forever. It can gradually subside and disappear over time. Even a few hours are enough. You know how good an idea seems when you are lying in bed, but how you no longer think so when morning and reality dawns? That is an example of how motivation can degrade.

So the advice I give you is to set aside a few minutes each day to revisit your goal in your imagination, preferably at the same time each day, so that you establish a routine. Relax again and close your eyes, and repeat the immersion of yourself into that desired position where you have already achieved your goal and are enjoying the fruits of it.

Planning

Unfortunately, it isn’t enough to build motivation unless we use it to make plans and to put those plans into effect. A good way to do this is to brainstorm all the steps that you will need to take to achieve your goal. Then put them into the order in which you will need to tackle them. In some cases, you may be able to see parallel chains of steps that may be tackled more or less at the same time. Whatever the steps are, they will all have the effect of gradually putting you nearer and nearer to achieving your goal.

Now, be ambitious and set a date when you hope to achieve the goal. Work back down the chain of steps, giving a date for each one. If you were over-ambitious, you will find that you do not have enough time to achieve the goal by the date that you have set. No problem, just set back all the dates by the same number of days, weeks or months.

Action

Enter all the steps in a diary or on an Action Plan that you draw up specifically for the purpose. It is a good idea to put such an Action Plan up on the wall, where you can see it as a reminder of the project. Now make sure that you read your Action Plan or diary every day, so that you are reminded to carry out the steps as they fall due. If possible, aim to take some action to move you nearer to your goal each day, no matter how small that action may be.

Don’t worry if one step takes longer than you estimated, or if there is a delay occasioned by illness. Just adjust the dates of the remaining steps to cope with the delay.
