Standard Features of Folding Glass Doors

Two installation methods to suit diverse requirements and situations- The first option caters to the situation where the doors are to be hung from supporting hangers, which are secured on the ceiling. They are independent of the adjoining walls – be those of glass, timber of other building materials. The second system secures the door to the adjoining glass wall with a single point glazing fixings. These doors are compatible with Avanti Systems’ range of ‘Elite’ freestanding rooms that can offer the designer the option of stylish, lighter looking rooms.

Door modules – Standard doors are of 950 mm width – but the company is always open to provide other widths at the customers’ request. The height is tested up to 3m. A great feature of the Avanti Systems’ folding glass doors is the 18mm gap given between the sliding door and adjacent panels to ensure that the fingers do not get trapped when sliding the door open. This “anti – finger trap” make the doors user friendly everywhere. The doors come in single or double leaf actions and can be of full height or designed with over panel of varying widths to suit the customer.

Stainless Steel Hardware – Good quality stainless steel hardware in brushed finish give the doors added durability and strength as well as looks. The company at additional costs also makes other finishes to the customer.

Glass specifications – Standard 10mm toughened or laminated glass satisfying stringent safety regulations like BS 6262 is used but 12 mm option also exists.
Architectural glass meeting BS 6206 safety standards can be customized for textures and designs. Flat, mirror backed, sandblasted, opaque, translucent or colored options are all available.

All these features help make Avanti Systems’ folding glass doors the most sought after by designers everywhere.
